Google Calendar and Contacts Features Added on Outlook 2016 for Mac

Outlook 2016 for Mac has now come up with extra features by adding support for Google Calendar and Contacts. These highly-requested features will now let MAC users a more powerful way to stay in control of the day ahead.

This new update is present for the outlook community members before becoming broadly available to MS office setup 365 customers later this year.

More than just an email

With these recent updates, Outlook will now also sync your Google calendars and contacts. This new outlook include all add, delete, edit time and location features making your experience better. All changes will update back and forth with Gmail or Outlook for iOS and Android, so everything is in sync across all your devices.

Bringing the best features of Outlook to your Gmail account

But with these updates, you will also be able to take advantage of several of Outlook’s advanced features with your Gmail account, that include Focused Inbox, travel reservations and package deliveries and many more.

 

How to get started with this New Outlook 2016

This new Outlook 2016 for Mac users is now available only to Office Insider Fast program for trial & testing. To become an Insider, simply open up Outlook, click Help > Check for Updates and then follow the directions found here.

Outlook will send a notification to you when this feature becomes available so that you can add it to your Google account www.office.com/myaccount. If you have an existing Google account connected to Outlook, you can remove it after setting up the new experience.

If you ignore the initial prompt, you can add a Google account at a later time by going to Tools > Accounts.
